Virtually impossible release to find a copy of. No, scrap the 'virtually' from that sentence this release is impossible to find. I've known about KoLS for a decade now and I can't recall having ever seen a copy of this cassette for sale.

Some kind person sent me a couple of CDRs a long time ago with a load of KoLS rarities on and included a rip of this cassette. Thank you to that person whoever you are (I still have the blue bit of card with your collage on).

Released on cassette by Jealous Butcher in 1996.

On this rip 'Water Works' and 'Power Chords' are still attached so there are 16 files instead of 17.

15. David Rovics - Oppositional Defiance Disorder
16. David Rovics - Drink of the Death Squads
17. David Rovics - The Saint Patrick Battalion
18. David Rovics - Shut Them Down

Complete mystery surrounds this release. Is anyone able to shed some light on it?

When I purchased it I was told it was a tour CD but was given no other information. It's just a CD, professionally pressed, with no sleeve (just white cardboard), no track listing, no label information (unless 'Slave 9' means anything?), nothing.
I've worked out the song titles for the KoLS and David Rovics sections but I'm unfamiliar with Des Ark.
All songs are good quality live recordings.

I've had to split this into two sections as it was too big to upload otherwise. Part 1 contains just the Des Ark set, Part 2 has all of the KoLS and David Rovics songs.

City on Film / Kind of Like Spitting - Split 7"

A. The City on Film - Portland Maine and the Pouring Rain
B1. Kind of Like Spitting - There It Goes, So It Goes
B2. Kind of Like Spitting - Free Advice

One of the earliest label releases for Kind of Like Spitting. This 7" was released on Sport Records in 1999. Similar to the Rose of Sharon split, this may have had multiple pressings - although it's unlikely - due to some sleeves having bolder text and images.

Freshly ripped record with all tracks encoded as 320kbps mp3s.

Kind of Like Spitting / Rose of Sharon - Split 7"

A. Kind of Like Spitting - A Shaggy Dog Shames Its Owner
AA. Rose of Sharon - Five Sides or So

Limited edition 7" vinyl released by Jealous Butcher Records. There were at least a couple of variations on the inserts included with this record (I'll try and add some images one day) so it could have had more than one pressing.

Freshly ripped record and both tracks saved as 320kbps mp3s.

Redder Records covers

These were uploaded to the Redder Records website in a couple of batches. I'm pretty sure they appeared before 'In the Red' - most likely in the closing months of 2005.

Tracks:
Drunk Sincerity (Bad Religion)
Hewlitt's Daughter (Grandaddy)
In Love With A View (Mojave 3)
Inside of Love (Nada Surf)
Land of Competition (Bad Religion)
Sin City (Gram Parsons)
Some Girls Like Cigarettes (The Karl Hendricks Trio)
St. Swithin's Day (Billy Bragg)
Title Track (Death Cab for Cutie)
Tom Courtenay (Yo La Tengo)

The bitrate of the mp3s vary quite a bit (from 160kbps to 320kbps). This may have been my fault - I'll push the blame on iTunes if it was - but each track is in the best quality I have available.
Uploaded as a zip folder with all 10 songs.
